On 5th July 2019, IOVOP has officially signed a Memmorandum of Understanding with The Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (IPEME), the Governmental Agency in the Republic of Mozambique that is responsible for implementing the Government´s Strategy for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), in general and Each District One Product (CaDUP) in Mozambique, in particular

It’s agreed that  IOVOP will support IEME for any CaDUP activity-related study tours within IOVOP network countries, dispatch professional trainers and consultants from different continents and offer various trainings and consulting activities effectively at both national and regional level to build and enhance capacity for the officers, stakeholders in the value chain of specific CaDUP product in Mozambique. IOVOP will also assist IPEME technically in organizing CaDUP-related events, assist IPEME to access and develop better market for Mozambican CaDUP products and assist IPEME to develop CaDUP-based tourism models

IPEME agrees to provide IOVOP updated information related to CaDUP, includes information of the CaDUP groups / companies and products, policies…  IPEME will mobilize possible resources, especially financial resources from the government as well as from the donors, to collaborate with IOVOP in implementing various activities to promote CaDUP in Mozambique. IPEME will also actively participate in the activities organized by the IOVOP and support IOVOP in developing the network of IOVOP in Africa…
