Expand the crafts market into Europe

Within the framework of the National Trade Promotion Program, the Vietnam Handicraft Exporters Association (Vietcraft) has organized a delegation of 10 enterprises participating in the International Trade Fair Maison et Objet (MO) held at Paris (France) from 6 to 10 September 2019. This is the largest fair in Europe in terms of gifts, handicrafts, interior and exterior decoration. The fair attracted over 2,500 exhibitors from countries and regions around the world.

The groups of Vietnamese pavilion this year are quite diverse including rattan and bamboo products of Hien Uyen Vi (Binh Duong), bags of Kien Hung (Dong Thap), ceramic products of Quang Vinh (Hanoi), jewelries of Minh Giang (Hanoi), toys of Binh Nga (Ho Chi Minh City), blankets and pillows of Hoang Hai Group (Hung Yen) ... have attracted the attention of many import businesses in Europe.

After the first fair day, some companies got the first memorandum of understanding with customers such as Binh Nga company, Hien Uyen Vi company, Minh Long company ... These are very encouraging results due to very thoughtful preparation of photos and products of the Organizing Committee as well as the participating businesses. Talking with Vietnamese businesses at the fair, the purchasing director of the ASA Selection of Germany said many customers expressed a special interest in Vietnamese crafts, they especially appreciated Vietnam's products on sustainability and compliance with international standards that Vietnamese businesses have been implementing. With a lot of fluctuations in the region, Vietnam is being recognized as a source of goods, a reliable destination for importers of crafts and home decorations around the world.
